We offer 6-session accelerated classes. Our On-Site AutoCAD classes are offered two times a week.

What you learn: Learn important manipulation and management tools for assembling and integrating drawings within the construction document set. This course includes "model space," "paper space" and "layout environments." When we developed our curriculum, we started with the requirements of the AutoDesk Training Centers. We enhanced that curriculum to provide you even more exposure to AutoCAD -- and especially with relevant skills needed for the Construction Industry.

Prerequisite: Fundamental working knowledge of the Windows environment and AutoCAD I or instructor approval.

Course Description: This course is designed for the working professional who desires to update their AutoCAD skills and those people interested in advancing their employment opportunities. It reinforces basic understanding and develops experience in more advanced applications. Topics include file referencing across the project data, user coordinate systems, dynamic viewing and paper/model space conventions. Advanced AutoCAD commands and drafting conventions are heavily stressed.

Course Project: Create an abbreviated working drawing set. Draft Floor Plan, Foundation Plan, Electrical Plan, Building Elevations, Building Sections and multi-scale drawings, including Details and Wall Sections.

Grading: Class participants will receive a grade for their contributions to the class. There will be quizzes and tests to ensure that class participants fully understand the topics being presented.

Open labs: Open labs are available for use in completing homework assignments and for additional "practice time” by the class participants. There is an additional cost for using open labs. Please contact us to receive that information.
