Al Whitley, MBA, AIA
Al is a registered architect in the State of California and is our master teacher and program director. He has
served on the Board of Directors of AIA San Diego, as Treasurer,
and has been involved with numerous national, state and local CAD and BIM standards groups. His architectural practice, Whitley Consulting
Group, (www.whitleygroup.com) has received awards for technical achievement by the
American Institue of Architects. Al is also a master-level CAD professor at UC San Diego. He enjoys spending his off-time riding his BMW motorcycle, hiking in the local Cuyamaca mountains and trekking through Yosemite.
Amanda Wurangian
Amanda's terrific experience managing academic programs, student information systems and learning management systems has helped bring cadteacher to the forefront of CAD and BIM training schools. Amanda enjoys bringing her academic training in geometry and physics into play by being an exceptionally talented pool player.
Robyn Young
Robyn brings a wealth of management experience to cadteacher. Her twenty years of experience in video production and video industry management has greatly enhanced the success of our virtual-based learning program. Robyn is an exceptionally talented musician. She and her family enjoy off-roading.
Michael Wilson, BArch
Mike has terrific experience integrating Revit, 3dsMax and Rhino. He is a hard-charging, "get it done right" kind of person who has incredible talents and is very attentive to detail. Mike uses Revit Architecture on medium and large scale Government and institutional projects. Mike has been an integral member of our team for the past four years. In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and their dog.
Jim Brackney
Jim has many years of experience using Revit MEP on educational, health care, civil and military projects. Jim also brings hands-on field experience, supervising construction teams. Recognized as one of San Diego's leaders in implementing Revit MEP, and also a terrific instructor, Jim brings a wealth of experience into the classroom. To release the stress of being a hard-charging BIM user, Jim regularly bungy jumps off of some of the most exciting sites in California.
Billy Jennings
Billy has worked with 3D modeling, Revit and plant design for thirteen years. His experience is with top-to-bottom building systems design, including energy simulation, load calculations and construction administration on large and small commercial and government sector projects. In his spare time, Billy enjoys biking around San Diego and building furniture.
Paulo da Rosa
Paulo has an incredible breadth of experience in the construction industry -- having worked with AutoCAD in the architectural, Title 24 Energy Calculations and the Civil Engineering communities. His students admire his pleasant method of clearly presenting complex information. Paulo is a studio-level guitarist and regularly performs at local venues including Humphrey's By The Bay.

Gavin Grant, AIA
Gavin received his degree in Architecture from Princeton University and is an architect at Carrier Johnson + Culture, a design-centric architectural, interior design, and strategic branding practice. He uses Revit Architecture on medium and large scale projects to coordinate, troubleshoot and visualize the building and its systems. Gavin has worked closely with our faculty for the past two years to guide curriculum development. He also serves on our Curriculum Advisory Board.
Trevor Cornell, LEED AP
Trevor is one of San Diego's leading BIM Facilitators, expertly coordinating Navisworks, Revit and other BIM technologies for use on Government and Institutional projects. Trevor holds a BArch from Woodbury University and is a LEED AP. In his spare time, Trevor regularly hikes and camps in the local mountains, and also enjoys spending time in the redwood forests of NorthernCalifornia.
Tyler Grant, BArch
Tyler holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Newschool of Architecture and Design in San Diego. He has a wealth of experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and other BIM and 3D-modeling programs as well as Adobe Creative Suite programs. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and cycling throughout the San Diego area.
Michael Kinnear, PE
Mike is a Civil Engineer with significant experience with Civil 3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation. A member of
the American Society of Civil Engineers, Mike brings a wealth of experience working on transportation engineering and site develoment projects. Like many on the cadteacher.com staff, Mike is an avid hiker and enjoys spending time with his family in the local Cuyamaca and Laguna mountains.
Bill Rogers
Bill is a Legacy Autodesk-Certified Revit and AutoCAD professional. Before joining cadteacher, Bill was a Dead Head and he also attended Phish fries. A vega-glutanarian, Bill cannot eat anything, other than potato chips. Even though he professes to be only 35 years young, Bill has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years. His on-hands experience brings valuable experience into the classroom. Considered by many to be an expert BIM facilitator on institutional and educational projects, in his spare time Bill enjoys photography, surfing, taking long trips around the world and short trips in Southern California.
Pete Axcel
Pete is recognized as one of Southern California's leaders in 3ds Max and in digital, fractal vizualization. Pete specializes in architectural renderings and animations. He has extensive experience in architectural visualizations. Pete is also an adjunct professor at UC San Diego and is an active remote-environment hiker. Pete was recently honored by receiving the "Digital Art Guild Award" at the San Diego Art Institute International Show. You can see a copy of his award-winning piece by clicking here.
Jeremy Gleim, BArch
Jeremy is an architectural graduate of Woodbury University. Jeremy has many years of experiene in the construction industry and is exceptionally adept using AutoCAD and Revit. His hobbies include active involvement in some of San Diego's best baseball leagues. He and his wife regularly ride his BMW motorcycle all around San Diego County.
Lisa Fabula, AIA
Lisa is a licensed architect and has been working with CADTeacher.com for two years. Lisa is also a member of the Board of Directors for AIA San Diego, and she is also a professor at UC San Diego.
